Every day there are all sorts of haircuts walking out of our doors, some simple everyday cuts, and some a bit more dapper, and some where our clients let us pull out all the stops. For those who want to know what we REALLY do here.
The Service: Little Psycho
The Barber: Erik
The Story:
James here is an incredibly mature, articulate, accomplished young man who is also as smart as he is a smartass. That’s exactly why we like him. Although he’s here a lot, this day he wasn’t particularly wanting a haircut. I don’t know, other young fella things to do or something.
But alas, dad had booked his appointment well in advance. To entice him, dad said he could get whatever haircut he wanted. As a person who knows his own mind, James took one look at the Schorem haircut posters and chose the Psycho. A bold choice indeed.
And boldness was required all around, because although Erik is quite familiar with this haircut, he had…never actually done one before. It’s not exactly a widely requested style (and really hard to cut), which is a shame, because it is punk as hell. With a little guidance from Beardsmith, Erik got this crazy thick hair into shape and he looks ready to raise hell for the summer.
In the meantime, we just loaded him up with cake and sent him home to his parents. Sorry about that, parents.
A lot of fantastic cuts walk out of this shop, but most of the time we are on to the next client before we have a chance to take photos.
So, to actually capture these great styles (with decent lighting), we have started a roster of hair models. None are “models” for sure (although some have been a curiously Pavlovian effect on our lady followers), these Zoolanders are pulled from our existing clients.
