Every day there are all sorts of haircuts walking out of our doors, some simple everyday cuts, and some a bit more dapper, and some where our clients let us pull out all the stops. For those who want to know what we REALLY do here.

The Story:
Ben is one of those clients who isn’t so much a client as a stalking victim. He is the husband of one of Blademaiden’s high school friends, part of the the most gorgeous mom/dad/baby trio of all time, and since the first time they met, she has wanted to get her hands on his perfect hair.
Happily, the Beardsgaards work on him on the regular these days. But shamefully, we haven’t taken a photo until now. Finally, that shame has been lifted.
Although we usually leave a bit more on top (due to his glorious curls), for the summer he wanted to go as short as possible.
With thick, loose curls, however, there aren’t a lot of mid range lengths that don’t make that hair type stick up and flip out all over – you either need to leave enough length for the curls to do their thing (one to one and a half rotations of curl works well) or cut it short enough it takes the curl out entirely (less than finger length).
This particular cut is probably our signature, a little something we call “The Gaard.” With a variable side length (we took it pretty darn short), square sides, and neatly tucked in at the corner on the off-side of the forehead corner, this is a haircut that is completely blended throughout the head and has all of the clean looks of a side parted style, without having to comb in a part.
It may be the easiest haircut to wear, ever. His beard we keep a little weightier in the chin, clean and tapered through the cheeks and up into the sideburns to tame the face curls.
A lot of fantastic cuts walk out of this shop, but most of the time we are on to the next client before we have a chance to take photos.
So, to actually capture these great styles (with decent lighting), we have started a roster of hair models. None are “models” for sure (although some have been a curiously Pavlovian effect on our lady followers), these Zoolanders are pulled from our existing clients.
