We have had a long-standing affinity for Paul Mitchell products since far before we opened Beardsgaard. But as our shop has evolved, we have refined both our service and our offerings, and the time has come to make a change.
When it comes to beard products, shave goods, pomades and the like we enjoy mixing it up, but for haircare we are the monogamous types. To make room for a whole new realm of magic, we will be retiring Paul Mitchell products from our shelves as of November.
But worry not, for the new kid of the block is a stunner, and a powerhouse too. In fact, if we had been able to stock this brand from the beginning we would have, but it takes some work to even be allowed to carry these products. Exclusive city, folks.
Davines (pronounces Dah-vin-ehss) is an Italian haircare brand that embodies everything we try to do: do it right. While both Beardsgaard and Davines have much more detailed missions that that, it all boils down to those three words. Do it right. Simple as that.
This is a brand whose products are among the best in the world of course, but there are many excellent haircare companies. What there are far fewer of are companies as committed to quality, sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint, all the while making everything absolutely beautiful.
We’ll introduce Davines properly next week (beginning with the Essentials, Naturaltech and More Inside lines), but in the meantime, we wanted to let all of you know that this will be the last week Beardsgaard will stock Paul Mitchell on our shelves.
Because professional haircare products cannot legally be sold online by third parties (there are a few exceptions with some brands, but if you’re buying it on Amazon it’s probably not be legit), you can still pick up your favorite Paul Mitchell products in-shop until Saturday 10/31.
Come and get your fix before it’s gone, and as of next week, we will introduce you to a whole new world of magic for your hair. We can’t wait.
