They Came from the Parking Lot: Part Deux {Video}

November 20, 2015 By //  by The Beardsgaards

Everybody loves pumpkins. That is, until they…TURN. With music by No Zodiac, and featuring the both Beardsgaard employees, and a bunch of other nerds who showed up. Beardsgaard Barbers is proud to present, a D-movie horror movie disasterpiece: “They Came From The Parking Lot: Part Deux.”

We feel we should explain how all this came about.

It all started in 2014 with some pumpkins given to us by Batavia Main Street, carved epically by our OG shop neighbors at Fallen Star Tattoo. After Halloween weekend in the front windows, we returned to find pumpkins that looked like Walking Dead extras.

Someone made a joke about how we should “smash some pumpkins.” It all kind of spiraled from there, now for multiple years in a row. We even made T-shirts.

This year we actually planned this thing somewhat, brought props (and tents!), had a rough storyline, and did some elaborate makeup. It also helped that Blademaiden had gotten in some more Premiere Pro practice since the first installment.

Some participants were brand new to the shop, getting jumped into our “corporate culture” through controlled violence, while some former Gaardians came back just for the sheer joy of fucking shit up.

And fuck shit up we did. Who knows, maybe we’ll do this again next year. No, we totally lie, we already have a date picked for Part III.

And now, let us present, the horror.

They Came from the Parking Lot Part Deux

Plenty of blood (fake) sweat (real) and tears (on cue, for we are thesssspians!) went into the making of this thing, and to each and every person who helped make it a reality, we are endlessly thankful.

The Whole Series
