Just before Halloween we asked Batavia to bring out their dead, in the form of their post-holiday used up pumpkins that they were going to be getting rid of anyway. Just in case there was any wondering about what we did with those pumpkins, the time will soon come where we will show you. In person.
Next Thursday, November 19th at 7:30 we will be showing a double header premiere of the original They Came From the Parking Lot, as well as They Came From the Parking Lot Part Deux, right here in the shop. And you’re all invited.
Arrive in whatever vehicular conveyance suits your fancy
This now-yearly zombie pumpkin destructathon tradition gives us an excuse to pull out all the stops and regress to being children with adult resources and make astonishingly terrible short films. With a combined run time of less than 20 minutes, coming on down for the showing won’t take a big chunk out of your life, but there is so much to see!
We’re still a bit flabbergasted that there were zero injuries this year (except for stabbing by thorns)
There are so many guts, so many puns, so many weapons, people are swinging grappling hooks, gigantic wood saws, a living anime cartoon is flinging himself across the screen cleaving pumpkins clean in half with a katana, the ghosts of past and present Shopkeeps do some murder together, Eagle is the hammiest ham ever to ham, Natalie gets real stability, there are boss level villains, dramatic deaths, and even an actual plot (sorta)! Hell, we even bought ourselves some rudimentary sound equipment this time around.
Consummate professionals, all of us
In short, it will be a helluva good time and each and every person who would like to join us is invited.
