Just, A Stupid Amount of Thank Yous {Video}

October 31, 2014 By //  by The Beardsgaards Leave a Comment

Fellow Beardsgaardians! First and foremost, you’re going to get it a lot in this post, so prepare now…

GOT Thank You

We cannot THANK YOU ALL enough for coming out to our big shindig at our little barbershop last Saturday!

Not only has it been beyond incredible to have had you come through the doors for cuts, shaves, drop by to say hi and/or talk general nerdery (music, movies, craft beer, Doctor Who, etc.), but the real joy has been to get to know each and every one of you better personally.

Which is why we decided to have a party in the first place! It wasn’t really for us after all.

Although we could not be happier or more excited to be living our dream of owning and operating our own shop (and in the magical land of Batavia, at that!), in the end, it served as the biggest and best reminder of how incredible this community is, how amazing the people in it are and how lucky we all are to not only now be a part of it, but for you all to embrace us as ones of your own.

And now, on to the pictures from the party!

And a few little videos we shot throughout the night for good measure!

As well as thanking all of you, we of course also want to thank the people who donated time, energy and things to helping us pull off this party:

  • Music by the supremely talented Oscar Aguilar, TJK, and the River Valley Rangers, set up by the beardful Jason at the River’s Edge.
  • Food from Rick at The River’s Edge in Batavia, which we hear was delectable, but which we hardly got a chance to try, as it get demolished quickly.
  • Cupcakes from The Sugar Path in Geneva, which are dangerously delicious.
  • Fridge and keg full of beer from Penrose Brewing in Geneva (which you can now expect to be seeing all the time in Bertha the fridge!)

Our little shop turns out to be a great event space, so expect us to find many more reasons to throw parties in there. Thank you Batavia, and see you soon!

About The Beardsgaards

The Beardsgaards are a pair of mom-and-pop barber nerds with a shared obsession with perfection. We built this old school barbershop to feel like home to everyone who enters beneath the Elvish script above our door. If we and the Gaardian army can give you a better handle on your grooming routine, all the better.
