We wanted to do a grand reopening post for you, we really did. And we’re open! We aren’t quite done, but we thought we would show you what’s done so far. With loads of pictures!
Two weeks was not a lot of time for a remodel of this scale with so many moving parts. One of them being a particularly popular style of granite countertops. The middle slice of the station wall sandwich if you will.
Everyone involved in this project is waiting with bated breath for this giant slab to arrive, get cut, installed, and get all the cabinets and lights put on top. We’re crossing our fingers for this coming weekend. Even with all that up in the air, we reopened on time, on Monday the 18th with the cabinets in place, our old collection of mirrors temporarily back on the wall, but everything else got done!
We certainly didn’t get to do all the projects we had on our Indiegogo campaign wish list, like the second retail wall and all the additional large printed items, but we’ll get to those over time. We also were not able to knock a hole in the wall next door to the Apothecary this time, but we know what that wall is made of now, and have a plan of attack when the time does come.
The entire staff of Beardsgaard wants to thank all of our supporters and contributors who helped make this happen.
We can’t wait to finish that station wall up (hopefully this weekend?) and show you the final shop! In the meantime, we will be hard at work rounding up all the Indiegogo perks people have coming. It’s like springtime Christmas over here.
