The Faces of Beardsgaard • Jotunheim

Beardsgaard may be a barbershop in Batavia here in the mortal plane, but it is also a fantasy world. In that world is an apothecary, River Peak Apothecary, that makes magic potions scented by the seasons, their scents evoking the places you will find all over the Realm. Here in Batavia, the people behind both brands are one and the same.

Every Apothecary product is a location on our map of the Realm. The Faces of Beardsgaard series takes you inside the stories of this fantasy Realm we lay over the real world.

From our wintertime line of candles, we bring you Jotunheim, from the land of the Giants.

After our photographer got into rock climbing here years later, we realized it was so, so dumb to venture up this trail in the winter with dudes with giant feet in cloaks, but with the world being covered in that spiky little hoarfrost that day, it was so worth it. Said models were absolute troopers, Michael the elder, the man who we made beard butter for in the first place, and Sean, barber of Beardsgaard and the most famous face of our YouTube channel.
