Beardsgaard may be a barbershop in Batavia here in the mortal plane, but it is also a fantasy world. In that world is an apothecary, River Peak Apothecary, that makes magic potions scented by the seasons, their scents evoking the places you will find all over the Realm. Here in Batavia, the people behind both brands are one and the same.

Every Apothecary product is a location on our map of the Realm. The Faces of Beardsgaard series takes you inside the stories of this fantasy Realm we lay over the real world.

From our summertime shave line, we bring you Magewick, set like an island jewel in the Gilded Sea of Asgard, where Gods and Elementals dwell.

The best part of this photo shoot is that these two weren't bald when we recruited them for this photo shoot, but they were so excited for their first straight razor head shaves. you can't just go up to the top of Mount Baldy (it ate a kid one time), you have to go up with a ranger, so planning this in advance, we got staggeringly lucky the sky turned out this hard.
