Beardsgaard Barbers and our product line River Peak Apothecary are part of a vast fantasy world known as the Realm of Beardsgaard. Our products are named after Realm locations and scented to conjure those places. As might be expected of a bunch of nerds, we play Dungeons & Dragons all over that world (on the Beardsgaard YouTube channel).
You know how sometimes in tabletop games, someone makes a joke, and everyone wants to make shirts based on that joke? That's precisely what's happening here.
In one of our earliest games when we were still getting a feel for the flavor of our world, the party imagined themselves into a competitive tag league game in the human city of Tharbad. What they didn't know then is that the most fun parties in Tharbad are sponsored by the People of the Gold Spark, which present day viewers will know as the evil sun cult looking to rip open the fabric of reality and gain the powers of whatever lies beyond the void.
